Toy problem
Toy problem
A toy problem is a narrowly defined problem area that, despite its usually small size, reflects many of the key features of more realistic problems in a much larger domain. Well-known toy problems in decision analysis include the Party Problem and the Used Car Buyer. A toy problem is also referred to as a microcosm.
