Risk Attitude

Risk Attitude

Risk attitude is the decision-maker’s attitude toward taking risks. Most people are risk averse and therefore willing to pay a premium to avoid risk. Risk proneness, although allowed within decision theory, is rarely encountered in practice and can be viewed as an indicator of a less-than-fully developed decision basis.
