Chance Node
Chance Node

In a relevance diagram, a chance node is a node—usually drawn as an oval or a circle—that represents an uncertain variable. A chance node can be either stochastic (drawn with a single border) or deterministic (drawn with a double border). In addition, a chance node of either kind can be identified as the relevance diagram's value node.
